In January of 1951 a committee was named from the Bellaire Women’s Civic Club for the formation of a Bellaire Library. The Friends formally presented the Library to the City of Bellaire in May of 1951.

In May of 2021 the Bellaire City Library celebrated 70 years of service to Bellaire residents.  Untold thousands of visitors have had free access to quality information and hours of escape and entertainment over the past 70 years. 

 

The Library began in one room with donated books, and now we have best sellers, audio books, CDs, DVDs, and computers.
